Corn Fritters

2 cups fresh or canned crushed corn
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 beaten egg
2 tsp. melted fat
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Chop corn coarsely, then add remaining ingredients.  Beat well and drop by spoonful in hot fat (360 degrees).  Fry until done, turning frequently.  Serves 6.
